Dermoscopy of Non-Melanocytic Skin Tumors: A Descriptive Study in a Tertiary Care Hospital

Introduction: Dermoscopy is a non-invasive technique that enhances visualization of morphological lesions invisible to naked eye examination and aids in clinical diagnosis. We study its role non-melanocytic skin tumors. Objectives: The purpose this was evaluate compare the dermoscopic features non-melanocyte tumors Materials Methods: A cross-sectional hospital-based including patients clinically diagnosed as epidermal conducted. All findings were studied using handheld pocket dermoscope (Dermlite DL1) recorded preset proforma. Results: total 100 enrolled with mean age 37 (+/-18.34). There 56 % females. face commonest site involvement (56%). Seborrheic keratosis diagnosis (55%), followed by pyogenic granuloma 8%, cherry angioma 7%, haemangioma 6%, basal cell carcinoma 5%, achrochordons 4%, xanthelasma, sebaceous hyperplasia 3% each. Squamous actinic seen 2% each; Angiokeratoma, Bowens disease, stetocytoma multiplex, syringoma, neurofibroma all found 1% patients. In dermoscopy, vascular changes 41% patients, which appeared regular 56.1% rest 43.9% irregular. Non-vascular 68%. Dermoscopic non-vascular statistically significantly associated various types (P <0.05). Conclusion: Our shows histopathological correlation existing characteristics increases diagnostic accuracy However, more studies are warranted prove utility.
